The mission is to boost the jam band scene in Portland, Oregon by

• promoting local jam band shows
• connecting networks based around each band, cross-pollinating fanbases
• encouraging venues to book local jam bands
• giving the community a forum to sound off about local jam bands and venues.

This site will be the home for:

• a directory of current bands and musicians
• a calendar of shows and open jams
• a classified area for musicians looking to jam or join a band
• memorials for past bands with links to members' other projects
• reviews of shows and CDs
• miscellaneous musicians' resources
